As I've mentioned in the past, I've become very intrigued with controlling and sculpting light. I love the subtlety. The small changes that can make a big impact.

A couple of days ago, I set up the studio and had Roxy grab her black tutu. I had a vision for a silhouette portrait but wanted to be a bit funky. Most of the dance images I see are beautifully light, perfect backdrops/locations, perfect costumes. I wanted to get a little bit to the left of that.

It came out exactly as I wanted. Strong shadows. Subtle wrapping of light. Strong lines. I need to do more of these but with minor tweaks. We'll see how it goes.
